Most hotels are only interested in your experience inside their own walls. Some even actively try to keep you on the premises as much as possible.
We wanted to do something different. At The LARK, we’re very proud of the space we’ve designed, but not nearly as proud as we are of Bozeman (and Montana in general). We want you to love your modern, one-of-a-kind Bozeman hotel boutique guestroom, but our real goal is to help you get out and find the perfect adventure for you.
We’ve built a Map Room to help you find your way. We have a crew of people who genuinely care about this place and the possibilities it holds (your guides), and are excited to share it with you.
We’re right downtown, within easy walking distance to all the best local restaurants, bars and shops.
We can’t wait to meet you.
Oh yeah, and we can’t forget to mention that should you find yourself in Missoula, Montana or Walla Walla, Washington, you should stay at one of our sister properties, The FINCH and The Wren. We know you’ll like it there, too.
The LARK was the first property owned, designed, and repurposed by this Bozeman-based group. The group’s ethos is to resurrect old unused buildings and breathe new life into the downtown spaces that they call home. All properties feature essentialism and high design intent while remaining true to, and genuinely inspired by, their surroundings.

The space that is now The LARK, has a colorful history in the heart of downtown Bozeman. Formerly an Imperial 400, and before that a series of auto shops, the lot sat vacant for four years until a local architectural firm saw an opportunity to breathe new life into the run-down and abandoned property.
The LARK was designed to embody the spirit of the local community. We want you to feel immersed in the vibe that is Bozeman, Montana which is why custom artwork is installed in each room, created by artists who live here, and want you to be as inspired by this place as they are.
